Happy Feet

Description: A fun and interactive way to learn more foot care for diabetes by using visual props and open communication. You will also receive a brief, individualized foot assessment and sensory exam with a Diabetes Nurse Educator.

Learning Objectives:

  • Tips and techniques for daily self foot care
  • How to prevent foot complications
  • How to choose the right shoes
  • How to identify problems with your feet
  • When to follow up with your doctor or foot care specialist

Length: 2.0 hours (offered once every other month on Wednesday morning)

Group Leads: Diabetes Nurse Educators

Group Size: 8 – 10 (Family members are welcome, however, are not eligible for a foot assessment or sensory exam. Please inform reception at the time of booking)
