Point-of-Care Anticoagulation Monitoring

This service is available to TC Family Health Team patients who are currently taking Warfarin or have been advised by their primary care provider to start taking Warfarin. Regular testing of the INR (International Normalized Ratio) is required for the safe and effective use of Warfarin. Point-of-care (POC) testing offers an effective and convenient alternative to visiting the lab for regular blood tests. Ongoing counselling and education will be provided on the safe use of Warfarin, including drug and dietary interactions.
